From First Message to Finished Gallery.
Here's how the whole thing works - no jargon, no surprises.
Simple Steps.
-
01 Get In Touch.
Fill in the contact form, drop me an email, or send a WhatsApp. Tell me your date and venue if you know them, and a little bit about what you're planning. There's no wrong way to start this conversation.
-
02 Check The Date.
I only shoot one wedding per weekend. So if your date is free, great. If it's not, I'll tell you honestly and try to point you towards someone who might be a good fit.
-
03 Relaxed Zoom Chat.
If the date works, I'll suggest a quick call, usually 30–45 minutes on Zoom or Teams. This isn't an interview or a sales pitch. It's just a chance to see if we get on, talk through what you're planning, and make sure I'm actually the right person for your day. No pressure either way.
-
04 The Quote & The Package.
After the call, I'll send you a summary of what we discussed and a recommendation based on what your day looks like. All packages include a full digital gallery - some include extras like albums or additional coverage hours. Pricing typically starts from £1,500.
-
05 Booking: Contract & Deposit.
If you want to go ahead, I'll send a contract (via a simple e-sign link — takes about two minutes) and an invoice for the deposit. I usually ask for 25%, but some couples prefer to pay 50% upfront — either is fine. Once the deposit is paid, your date is locked in.
-
06 Between Now And The Wedding.
I won't disappear once you've booked. I'll check in every couple of months - nothing spammy, just a short message to see how planning is going. About 4–6 weeks before the wedding, I'll get in touch to go through the timeline and any logistics, so the day itself runs smoothly without you having to think about me.
-
07 The Wedding Day.
I’ll arrive before the action starts and stay until things are winding down, or whatever coverage you need. I work quietly, stay out of the way, and photograph what's actually happening. You won't spend your wedding managing me.
-
08 The Gallery.
Within about 8 weeks, you'll receive a link to your full gallery - a private, downloadable online album with all the best images from the day. From there, they're yours. Share them, print them, put them on your wall. I'll also send through options for physical prints and albums if you want them.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Documentary - or reportage, or photojournalistic, depending on who you're talking to. It all means the same thing: I photograph what's actually happening, not what I've arranged to happen. I don't pose people, I don't set up shots, and I don't ask you to look at the camera. I work quietly in the background and let the day unfold.
-
Honestly, camera-shy couples are my favourite to work with. My approach removes most of the things that make people uncomfortable in front of a camera - the eye contact, the posing, the feeling of being watched. Most couples forget I'm there pretty quickly, which is exactly the point.
-
Yes, and I take this seriously - it's not a marketing checkbox. I understand sensory overwhelm, the exhaustion of masking, and how much pressure a wedding day can put on people who don't always find big social situations easy. If this is relevant to you, mention it when you get in touch and we can talk through how to make the day work for you.
-
Yep. Many of my closest friends are queer, and I've photographed same-sex weddings with the same approach I bring to everything else: respectfully, warmly, and without making it a thing. Everyone's welcome.
-
Yes. I'm based in Suffolk but cover East Anglia, Essex, and London regularly, and I'm happy to travel further, including destination weddings in Europe. Get in touch and we'll figure out logistics.
-
Yes, if you want them. If you have a list of specific groups you'd like, send it over in advance and we'll work through them efficiently so nobody misses the canapés for too long.
-
Yes, I photograph those too. My focus is always on people first, but the details matter, especially the ones someone spent hours making, or the ones that won't be there tomorrow. They're part of the story.
-
Rain on a wedding day is not a disaster. Trying to pretend it didn't rain would be a disservice to your memories. Some of my favourite images have been shot in drizzle. We work with whatever the day gives us.
-
Within 6-8 weeks of your wedding day. I'll send a small preview within a week or so, and the full gallery when it's ready. I won't rush it, I'd rather take the time to get it right.
-
Yes. The gallery is digital and downloadable, but I also offer printed albums and matted print boxes for the images you'll actually want on the wall. We can talk through options after the wedding, or in advance if you know you want one.
-
A deposit (usually 25%, though 50% is fine if you prefer) secures the date. The balance is due one month before the wedding. Everything is confirmed by contract first.
Still Got Questions?
Drop me a message. There's no obligation and no hard sell, just an honest conversation about whether I'm the right fit for your day.
